Epic Games and tournament organiser BLAST have announced that the first major of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2026 season will take place in Boston, Massachusetts.
The event will run from February 19th to 22nd, 2026, where the best teams will compete for the lion’s share of its $345,000 (~£263,680) prize pool.
Teams will compete across three Opens in the hopes of securing a place at the Boston Major. 15 teams will be invited based on points accumulated, and a final team will be decided through the NA vs EU match at the Kick-Off LAN this December.
A team’s performance in this first major will contribute to qualification points for both the second Major and the 2026 Rocket League World Championship.
The final two days of the Boston Major will be held at the Agganis Arena on the Boston University campus. It is a venue commonly used for esports and entertainment, and previously hosted the RLCS 2023 Spring Major, which was won by Team Vitality.
Tickets for the major will go live on November 25th at 7:00 AM PT/ 10:00 AM ET through Ticketmaster after the presale concludes.
The tournament will be organised by Epic Games, publishers of Rocket League, and esports event organiser BLAST. BLAST holds tournaments across various scenes outside of Rocket League, including Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2 and more.
Those who cannot watch the tournament in person can watch the action live through the official broadcasts on the Rocket League Esports YouTube and Twitch channels.

Following the competition in Boston, the next Major will be held in the La Défense Arena in Paris, France, with three Opens for teams to compete in.
The circuit culminates towards the 2026 World Championship, which will run from September 15th to 20th next year. 20 teams will once again play to be crowned this season’s champion and take home the lion’s share of a $1.2m (~£917,160) prize pool.
