Riot Games has officially announced that both VCT Ascension Pacific and Game Changers Pacific will return to Bangkok for the second time. This follows previous editions in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
The Thai capital also hosted VALORANT Masters 2025, resulting in three significant VALORANT events taking place in the city this year.

The events are scheduled to take place in October; however, the exact dates and venue are yet to be revealed.
“We couldn’t get enough of Bangkok. Here we come again!” said Jake Sin, Head of APAC VALORANT Esports.
At Ascension Pacific, teams advancing through Challenger Leagues will compete for a spot in the 2026 VCT circuit. Apart from this, if both the previous Ascension winners, Boom Esports and Nongshim RedForce, qualify for VALORANT Champions, the team ranked lower will need to battle its way back into VCT.
Moreover, if one or both teams reach the Pacific Stage 2 Playoffs, they will still be required to participate in Ascension. The number of teams in VCT will be capped at 12, regardless of the scenario.
Meanwhile, the top teams from Game Changers Pacific will not only book tickets to this year’s Game Changers Championship, but will also receive direct invites to the team’s respective Challengers League qualifiers.
While most fans are excited to visit Bangkok, some of the community has urged Riot to explore other locations as well, especially for Tier 2 events.
“Why so much repetition? I get that Bangkok is easy to organize in, but other cities deserve a shot at hosting Ascension and GC. Bangkok already had Masters T1—let T2 events go elsewhere. 99% of VCT Pacific is a W, but 1% that I don’t like,” a user commented.
