4 Non Blondes are returning to the studio to record a follow-up to Bigger, Better, Faster, More!—their sole, 1992 album and the launchpad for the enduring superhit “What’s Up?” Details on the album are thin—no title has been revealed—but the band has signed to Kill Rock Stars for its release sometime in 2026. The stalwart indie label is partnering with 4 Non Blondes frontperson Linda Perry to launch an imprint, 670 Records, that will co-release both the band’s album and a Perry solo record, Let It Die Here, which is also coming on an unspecified date next year.

In a statement about reuniting the band, Perry said in a press release, “I put my feelers out into the universe. Playing some songs with 4 Non Blondes just seemed like a fun thing to do, in a way it hadn’t before now. I’ve been behind the scenes for far too long. I want to step out to be the artist I am. I’m just open to all the possibilities that I’ve created around me. I manifest things all the time.” She added that the album will include a mix of new songs and revisited older material.

Rounding out the 4 Non Blondes lineup will be bassist Christa Hillhouse—Perry’s only bandmate to be present throughout the group’s first phase—and two original touring members: drummer Dawn Richardson and guitarist Roger Rocha. (That lineup has reconvened for a handful of reunion tour dates this year.) Original drummer Wanda Day was fired in 1991 and later died of a drug overdose; original guitarist Shaunna Hall left the band during the recording of Bigger, Better, Faster, More! and became an official member of Parliament-Funkadelic in 2007.
