Rad Esports has announced the departure of its European Marvel Rivals roster, days after it won the Marvel Rivals Ignite Mid Season Finals.
The first international champions for the hero shooter title has revealed it is actively searching for a new organisation to represent.

Rad Esports revealed that its time with Rad EU has ‘come to a close,’ thanking each of the players that defeated ENVY in the Grand Finals, taking home $160,000 (~£118,904) in prize money.
“As our time comes to a close, we want to thank each and every one of you for your commitment and dedication to your craft,” said the organisation on social media.
Former Rad EU strategist Max ‘fate’ Currie posted that the team’s contract with the organisation has expired, giving esports organisations a golden opportunity to expand into Marvel Rivals by signing a team with proven experience on the international stage.
Rad Esports will continue competing in Marvel Rivals esports following the departure of its European roster. Its North American side competes in the Marvel Rivals Championship and aims to build on the top 16 placement scored during Season 2.
What Next For Rad EU?
After finishing Stage 1 of Ignite in second place, the former Rad EU roster has secured a place in Stage 2 of the competition, which is expected to begin in September. The 16-team event will see teams from the EMEA region competing online for a share of a $250,000 (~£185,713) prize pool.
The top four teams from Stage 2 will earn a place at the Marvel Rivals Ignite Grand Finals, which rounds off the end of the title’s inaugural esports season.
It’s unclear which organisation the team will represent for the upcoming stage, or whether it will choose to represent itself.
