Team Spirit topping the VRS comes after it achieved victory at BLAST Bounty Season 2, besting The MongolZ in the Grand Final.
As a result of Team Spirit securing victory and Team Vitality‘s elimination in the semi-finals, the French esports organisation has dropped to second. Team Vitality has dropped off the top spot in CS2’s VRS for the first time since March 2025.
Elsewhere in the rankings, Aurora Gaming has returned to the top ten after appearing in the finals of the Esports World Cup while 3DMAX has jumped from 13th to eighth after winning Perfect World Challenge Series 1.
The MongolZ continues to cement itself among the top five teams in global Counter-Strike, climbing from fourth to third after winning the Esports World Cup in August.
With several teams moving up the rankings, many went the other way. Passion UA dropped from 20th to 33rd after elimination from DraculaN Season 1 without scoring a victory.
September CS2 VRS Invites
The September VRS will decide the teams competing at PGL Masters Bucharest 2025, taking place from October 25th to November 2nd, 2025. 16 teams will head to Romania to compete for a share of its $1.25m (~£933,759) prize pool.
The event is one of the final Tier 1 tournaments to take place before attention turns towards the StarLadder Budapest Major. Notably, the tournament occurs after the October 5th VRS cut-off for Counter-Strike’s biggest event.
