Anastasiya ‘Glance’ Anisimova from Karmine Corp GC has arrived in Seoul for her third VALORANT Game Changers Championship run, after lifting the trophy back in 2022.
The Russian prodigy helped build a fresh roster for the organisation for the 2025 GC season, which went on to reach the top of EMEA circuit and is a strong contender for the championship title.
“The major part was our schedule because we played a lot compared to other teams. And we managed to work a lot outside the server with mental stuff, with team synergy. So I think the vibe in the team in general is good and that’s what makes us perform better and better.”
She was signed by the French organisation Karmine Corp in 2024; however, the roster had to suffer a disappointing run.
Heading into 2025, Glance became the only player from her previous roster to re-sign with KC as it was time for a total rebuild.
Glance Returns to GCC With a Rookie Roster
KC’s new lineup features young players, most of whom have never attended a GC Championship. Yet Glance and her teammates defeated GIANTX and the previously uncontested regional leader, G2, to win GC EMEA’s Stage 1 and 2.
“It was surprising at the beginning since we built a full new roster,” admitted Glance.
As KC’s most experienced member, Glance also focuses on supporting her rookie teammates ahead of their first international competition.
“I’m just giving them help and advice. I’m just talking to them, making sure they’re fine and they’re having fun,” revealed the GC veteran.
“Because we all came here because we’ve been working hard. And I think it’s the right time to just play and have fun – in the game and outside the game – and see other teams say hi and just be there and enjoy the moment.”
When asked about the toughest opponent at the event, Glance replied rationally: “I really have a big respect for Shopify. Despite the change, I think they’re a great team […] So I’m looking forward to playing them…”
She also expressed admiration for Shopify Rebellion’s in-game leader (IGL), Melanie ‘meL’ Capone, who she considers a role model within the GC scene.
MeL’s Response & Hunger for the Three-peat

Witnessing the support from her fellow GC athletes, meL responded jokingly: “Is this a ploy to make me cry?”
Like Glance, meL has been part of the VALORANT GC scene since day one and has established herself as a leader both in and out of the game.
Perhaps most notable are her achievements with North American organisation Shopify Rebellion. Last year, SR became the first team to win back-to-back GCC trophies. However, meL and her team are still hungry for more.
“We always strive for greatness regardless what tournament we’re playing in. […] I think for us, it’s just focusing on ourselves and just trying to show everyone the best VALORANT possible,” emphasised the IGL.
“And for me personally, lowkey I’m entering my auntie era. At first I was like: ‘I don’t like this. I don’t like that they’re calling me old.’ But I’m kinda growing into it, kinda being more of a maternal force on the team. I don’t mind being called auntie. […] For me, it’s kind of funny.”
