Gaimin Gladiators has returned to Apex Legends esports ahead of the game’s season-ending Year 5 ALGS Championship.

The Canadian esports organisation acquired the former roster of orgless team RoadHouse, which includes Jamie ‘Blasts’ Levine, Jan ‘Lufka’ Urban, and Jan ‘akku’ Schneeberger.

Gaimin Gladiators has been competing in Apex Legends since 2022. The organisation’s best runs include a fourth-place finish at the Esports World Cup 2024 and second place in the ALGS: 2024 Split 2 Playoffs. Interestingly, both of these results were accomplished during Blasts’ and Lufka’s previous stint with Gaimin Gladiators.

Lufka left the roster in Spring last year to join German organisation MOUZ. As a result, Gaimin Gladiators recruited Nicholas ‘Fuhhnq’ Wall as a mid-season signing.

Following early elimination from the ALGS Championship, Open and Midseason Playoffs, Gaimin Gladiators bid farewell to its previous Apex Legends roster (Blasts, Fuhhnq and Paweł ‘lighT’ Haratyk) in July 2025..

    What’s Next For Gaimin Gladiators?

With this year’s ALGS Championship right around the corner, Gaimin Gladiators has acquired the RoadHouse roster to return to Apex Legends’ biggest annual tournament.

From January 15th to 18th, 40 teams from across the globe will come together in Sapporo, Japan, to compete for the massive $2m (~£1.48m) Championship prize pool.

The former RoadHouse players qualified for the global event thanks to their third-place finish in the ALGS Split 2 Pro League EMEA, which awarded the orgless team rank 24 in the ALGS 2025-26 Rankings.

While the recent acquisition means a return to the Canadian organisation for Blasts and Lufka, RoadHouse’s third member, akku, will be representing Gaimin Gladiators for the very first time in his career. The 18-year-old German player kicked off his Apex Legends career in 2023 under British team Forbidden Gaming and first met Lufka during their tenure at MOUZ last year.

In addition to the three players, Gaimin Gladiators also acquired RoadHouse’s management and coaching staff, Mara ‘Ladypexi’ and James ‘AfrO4E’ Ofori.

In yesterday’s announcement video, Blasts commented on the re-signing with Gaimin Gladiators: “Back with Gaimin Gladiators. Really excited. We did really well in Split 2 Playoffs. Really really really proud of my team. Akku is amazing. Lufka is amazing. […] We’re ready for what’s next. Super excited for Japan.”
