Teamfight Tactics (TFT) has released its Patch 14.1 game set, Cyber City, across PC and mobile platforms worldwide.

Esports Insider has gathered everything you need to know about the auto-battler’s 14th game update, set in a futuristic neon metropolis.

Following two weeks on the Public Beta Environment, Cyber City is available for free over the next four months. The new set was announced in TFT’s latest Dev Drop, published alongside a short cinematic.

“We’ve loved seeing the community’s reactions and gameplay with the early set content on the Public Beta Environment (PBE). We’re really excited to welcome both new and returning TFT players into the high-tech world of Cyber City, where they can dive into Hacks and explore all the unique comps,” commented Liv Breeden, Lead Set Designer for Cyber City.

    Cyber City Features

In the world of Cyber City, players can recruit the strongest board from 10 competing factions, including Street Demon, Anima Squad and Syndicate. In addition, two Threat-like 5-costs — Garen and Zac — will be introduced in the set. These unique 5-costs are Legendary units without specific Origin-based comps that can be slotted into any comp.

Detailed information on the factions and the Threat-like 5-costs can be found on the TFT website.

Cyber City’s new set mechanic is called ‘Hacks.’ They can appear via Opening Encounters, Shops, Orbs, Carousels and Augments, confronting players with a variety of decisions during each game.

Game modes have also received updates in Patch 14.1. In Double Up, TFT duos can now queue with up to three other duos to form a full lobby. For those who prefer solo content, the Tocker’s Trials mode will be available throughout the duration of Cyber City.

Together with these gameplay features, TFT released cyberpunk-inspired cosmetics for its in-game shop. These include the Unbound Tactition line with PROJECT: Vayne Unbound, Chibi Forecast Janna, Kuro and Shiro Little Legend and new Portal skins.

Cyber City Heads to TFT Esports

In an announcement ahead of Cyber City’s release, TFT revealed major changes to its esports ecosystem. The Golden Spatula tournament received an expansion, now spanning two weekends instead of one.

Moreover, regional Golden Spatual competitions will be held featuring the Cyber City set, with EMEA’s event kicking off on June 27th. The top 28 competitors from each region’s Golden Spatula will then qualify for TFT’s new tier-one circuit. The circuit includes three tournaments for each set in TFT’s lifecycle.
