
The Marvel Rivals Season 3 Championship sees some of the game’s top teams across its ecosystem compete in a Double Elimination stage after weeks of Open and Closed Qualifiers.
All four major regions for PC, including Pacific, EMEA, Americas and China, will soon decide the Championship winners of Season 3: The Abyss Awakens. The winning rosters will also take home the lion’s share of a $14,500 (~£10,720) prize pool.

Similar to previous Championships, Season 3 has two main divisions: PC and console. Console runs alongside the PC tournaments in each region, save for China, which only hosts matches on PC.
EMEA
All eyes are on Virtus.pro in the Season 3 Championships. Once considered to be the best team in the world, the organisation shocked the scene after it was knocked out of the EMEA Ignite Stage 1 tournament, showing the world that it wasn’t nearly as invincible as it appeared.
Only time will tell how the roster will fare in the Championship; whether the organisation can redeem itself or suffer another defeat.

As of writing, Virtus.pro are scheduled to face off against Al Qadsiah in the Upper Bracket Semi-finals after defeating Revived. in the Quarterfinals. As it stands, teams such as 500B DOLLARS, Dawncore, and UNDERACHIEVERS have already been eliminated.
Americas

Out of all the teams in Americas competing in the Season 3 Championships, Team Nemesis stands out as a top contender in the competition. The roster placed eighth overall in Americas’ Ignite Stage 1, becoming one of the few teams to qualify for Ignite Stage 2.
Team Nemesis were able to defeat established organisations, including the roster’s former organisation, Shikigami, alongside NTMR, DarkZero, and Luminosity Gaming NA.

So far, Ignite Stage 2 contender Ergo Death has been eliminated from the competition after losing 0-3 in the Lower Brackets round 11. Team Nemesis will face off against YFP in the Upper Bracket Semi-finals, while Shikigami and Dubai Matcha will play in the 12th round of the Lower Bracket.
Pacific
Most of the teams that are competing in the Pacific’s Season 3 Championships are in-game factions either competing for the first time or have yet to sign with an organisation. However, Crazy Raccoon is sure to attract a lot of attention during the competition.
Crazy Raccoon placed third overall during Asia’s Ignite Stage 1 after losing 1-3 to Gen.G Esports in the Lower Bracket Finals. Though fans will have to wait and see if Crazy Raccoon will have it’s moment to shine now that the Ignite Mid-Season Finals Asia teams, REJECT and Gen.G Esports, are not competing.

Crazy Raccoon has successfully progressed to the Upper Bracket Semi-finals, where it will face off against Vulcan Red. Another team to potentially keep an eye on is XOXO01, which placed third in the Season 1 Championships and fourth during Asia Ignite Stage 1. It will be playing FL eSports in the Semi-finals also.
China

China’s Mid-Season Finals teams, OUG and Nova Esports, will not be competing in the Season 3 Championship. As such, the scene is open for new teams to take the spotlight and claim the $6,000 (~£4,436) jackpot prize.

So far, FIST.S has stood out as one of the competition’s strongest teams, having won 3-0 in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals against the faction X Team. It will face off against the FL eSports Club B in the Upper Bracket Semi-finals.
