BLAST has revealed that the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege X (R6) APL Major Qualifier will take place at the PAX Melbourne 2025 gaming festival.

The qualifier will see eight of the best APL Stage 2 teams go head-to-head, hoping to secure one of four spots in the BLAST R6 Fall Major in Munich, Germany, later this year.

The APL Major Qualifier will feature the top four regional teams from the APAC North Stage 2 Playoffs, the top two teams from Asia Stage 2, and the top two teams from Oceania Stage 2.

    Schedule and Format

The qualifier begins on October 10th at Fortress Melbourne from 9:00 AM AEST, with upper and lower brackets. The rounds will be played behind closed doors until 17:00 PM AEST, after which the arena will be open to the public for free, with the rest of the games played until 23:00 PM AEST.

The next day, the top four will compete live at the PAX arena stage in the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, with three Bo3 matches starting from 11:00 AM AEST.

October 12th will be the day of the Grand Finals. The day will begin with a creator show-match, which starts at 11:00 AM AEST. Before the Grand Finals, a match will be played to decide which team will earn third place and a higher seeding at the Major.

The day will end with a showdown to crown the winner of the APL Major Qualifier, and which team will take home the lion’s share of a €40,000 (~$46,880/£34,600) prize pool.

All matches will also be broadcast live on Twitch, with both an A and B stream available.

The top four teams from the qualifier will secure a place in the BLAST R6 Major in Munich, taking place from November 8th to 16th, 2025. The Major is a pivotal part of the 2025 Season roadmap, as it will ultimately decide which of the 16 international teams competing will advance to the Six Invitational in 2026.
