Berlin has added a collection of new titles to its 2026 lineup, including Charli XCX’s buzzy flick The Moment.
The Moment will travel to Berlin following its Sundance debut and screen in the European festival’s Panorama competition section. Panorama will screen new works by Hong Sangsoo, Joaquín del Paso, André Novais Oliveira, and Elle Sofe Sara.
Directed by Aidan Zamiri from a screenplay he wrote with Bertie Brandes, the film is based on an original idea by Charli xcx. The “Brat” singer-songwriter also stars in the film, which follows a rising pop star as she navigates the complexities of fame and industry pressure while preparing for her arena-tour debut.
Elsewhere, Berlin added Sunny Dancer from filmmaker George Jaques to its Generations lineup. The film stars Bella Ramsey and Neil Patrick Harris. The film screens as a world premiere. The film’s synopsis reads: As if conquering cancer were not hard enough, 17-year-old Ivy’s parents sign her up to spend the summer at what she calls “chemo camp”. Once there, she unexpectedly manages to find friends in a group of misfits and has a summer she will never forget.
The 2026 Berlin Film Festival runs from February 12–22. Check out today’s additions below. The list covers films across Berlin’s Panorama, Generations, and Classics lineups.
