    • There will be four stages, three Swiss-system stages and one play-off, single-bracket elimination stage.

The CS2 StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 is a flagship tournament for the CS Major circuit. It is one of the largest Counter-Strike 2 esports events of 2025, being a major and thus above Tier-1 tournaments. The best players and teams around the world will gather to compete for one of the biggest prizes in esports.

Budapest will host the last CS2 Major Championship of the year, closing out the 2025 calendar. StarLadder itself is new to the calendar this year, and will want to make an impact, so the Budapest Major should be one to look out for.

With that in mind, here’s everything you need to know about the CS2 StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, including its schedule, participating teams, structure, prize pool, and how to watch the event.

These eight teams from Stage 1 will join those invited to Stage 2 from the get-go. These 16 teams will enter another Swiss System stage, and once again, the top eight will progress to the next stage, and the bottom eight will be eliminated. Stage 2 begins November 29 and ends on December 2.

Then, the final eight teams will face the eight teams that topped Stage 2 for Stage 3 from December 4 to 7. The top eight from Stage 3 will finally progress to the play-offs on December 11. This final stage will be single-bracket elimination, culminating in the finals on December 14.
