Chris McMillan, the celebrity stylist whose name is forever linked to one of television’s most recognizable haircuts, is stepping into the beauty aisle with the debut of his first namesake haircare line. The collection is available now on Sephora.com and arriving in Sephora stores nationwide August 18.

McMillan, the man behind Jennifer Aniston’s “Rachel cut” on “Friends,” has spent decades shaping red carpet and on-screen beauty moments — from his work with stars like Kim Kardashian and Miley Cyrus to his influence on the ’90s and early-2000s TV hair zeitgeist. Now, he’s distilling that expertise into a suite of styling products designed to bring pro-level results into the hands of consumers.

The launch includes seven core products, each aimed at addressing a different styling need while maintaining the high-shine, polished finish McMillan’s clients are known for. Among the standouts: the Glassy Smooth Blowdry Spray ($36), a heat-protecting prep mist that reduces dry time and wards off humidity; the Major Hairspray ($36), a superfine, buildable formula with a high-shine finish; and the Dry Texture Spray ($38), which marries a texture spray with a style-extending formula for instant volume across all hair types. There’s also a versatile Styling Balm ($38) to shape, define, or tame frizz; The Wand ($22), a portable flyaway tamer; a reimagined Gel ($38) offering strong hold without residue; and an airy, volume-boosting Mousse ($36).

McMillan’s decision to launch an eponymous brand marks a full-circle moment for the stylist, who rose to prominence at a time when television hairstyles could become cultural phenomena overnight. His creation of “The Rachel” in the mid-’90s not only helped define Aniston’s on-screen persona but also became one of the most requested cuts in salon history, influencing an entire decade of women’s hair trends. That kind of staying power is rare in the beauty industry, and McMillan’s enduring career, bolstered by high-profile editorial work and a loyal celebrity client roster, lends his products built-in credibility with Hollywood insiders and beauty consumers alike.

For fans who’ve long admired his work on-screen and on the red carpet, the line offers a chance to bring a piece of McMillan’s Hollywood polish home — no sitcom soundstage required.
