The Game Awards (TGA) has announced the full list of nominees ahead of this year’s edition of the annual awards ceremony.
Alongside revealing the nominations for its esports categories, League of Legends personality Marc Robert ‘Caedrel‘ Lamont was also nominated for Content Creator of the Year.
Taking place on December 11th, 2025, The Game Awards 2025 will feature world premieres of unreleased titles, announcements, and live performances. Notably, the event features award categories for the Best Esports Team, Best Esports Game, and Best Esports Athlete.
For the first time, the ceremony will be broadcast on Prime Video, in addition to its official YouTube and Twitch channels.
For the Best Esports Team award, Gen.G‘s League of Legends roster has received a nomination alongside NRG‘s VALORANT division and Team Falcons‘ championship-winning Dota 2 team. Elsewhere, Team Liquid‘s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang roster is among the nominees in addition to Team Vitality‘s Counter-Strike 2 team.
Six esports players from several titles have received nominations for the Best Esports Athlete accolade. NRG VALORANT player Brock ‘brawk‘ Somerhalder joins the likes of Paper Rex‘s Jason ‘F0rsakeN‘ Susanto among the nominees.
Five titles received nominations for the Best Esports Game. Valve and Riot Games have received two nominations each with Counter-Strike 2, Dota 2, League of Legends, and VALORANT, respectively. MOONTON Games‘ Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has also received a nomination.
Caedrel, Fortnite and Marvel Rivals receive non-Esports Nominations
Outside of the dedicated esports categories, Los Ratones founder Caedrel is among the nominees for Content Creator of the Year.
Known for his co-broadcasts of international League of Legends events, the content creator is one of the most popular streamers in the esports ecosystem, with his streams frequently attracting tens of thousands of viewers.
Free-to-play battle royale title Fortnite and hero shooter Marvel Rivals also appear in the Best Ongoing Game category. Both titles feature esports scenes backed by Epic Games and NetEase Games, respectively.
