Man City Esports has announced that Fortnite pro players Sebastian ‘Trippernn’ Kjaer and Aidan ‘Threats’ Mong will leave the organisation.
The organisation announced the duo’s departure through a blog post, sharing that they will no longer represent Man City Esports following the end of their contracts.
In the blog, Manchester City Esports wrote: “Everyone at Manchester City would like to thank Sebastian and Aidan for their hard work over their stints with the Club, and we wish them both the very best of luck in their future careers.”
The player has partaken in a variety of tournaments over his four-year journey with the organisation. Man City Esports highlighted his 2023 win at DreamHack San Diego, alongside placing runner-up in the FNCS 2023 Major 3 North America Grand Finals.
However, arguably his greatest highlights include qualifying for the 2023 and 2024 FNCS Global Championships. Despite placing fairly low in both tournaments, reaching the crowning event of the FNCS ecosystem back-to-back is an impressive feat.
On the other hand, Trippernn joined the club’s esports division as a pro Fortnite player in 2023 aged 19, primarily competing in the European scene.
The Danish player competed across several tournaments in 2025, with his greatest highlight including a third-place finish in the Chapter 6 Season 1 FNCS Grand Finals in Europe. However, the player did not reach a FNCS Global Championship since joining the organisation.
What’s Next for Manchester City Esports?
2025 was a significant year for the organisation, which ended its journey with long-time members of Manchester City Esports and began with new ones.
Earlier this year, the club’s esports division announced that it was parting ways with EA Sports FC pro player and two-time ePremier League Champion Donovan ‘Tekkz‘ Hunt, who joined in 2023 after ending his run with Fnatic.
In December 2025, Manchester City Esports revealed that it was making its debut into the Rocket League esports scene, debuting its professional team at the RLCS 2026 Kick-Off Weekend.
