The “My Missing Courier” quest in Hollow Knight: Silksong might seem like a throwaway wish you can put off for a while, but it comes with an excellent reward. The only trouble is that the quest giver’s instructions are so vague that it’s easy to head off in the wrong direction.

You can grab “My Missing Courier” from the Bellhart wish board, but only after the weaver’s spell on Bellhart is broken. That won’t happen until you defeat Widow and clear the “Threadspun Town” quest, which you need to do to move ahead in Silksong’s story anyway.
Once the town is back on its feet (or claws), examine the wish board next to Frey’s shop to the left of the Bellhart bench, and you can grab “My Missing Courier,” along with two other wishes, including “Silver Bells.” Frey needs you to find their missing delivery bug, and the only intel they have to go on is that the lil’ critter was last seen in Shellwood.

It turns out the courier is in the upper part of Mosshome, in a location you can’t normally reach from below, even with the wall cling ability. Race through the lower part of Shellwood, exit via the lower left passage — not the one on the same level as the Bellway, since that leads you to the Blasted Steps — and use the Drifter’s Cloak to waft down toward the spot shown above. Defeat the two caranid enemies harassing the courier, speak to the newly saved bug, and then head back to Bellhart.
If you want to do this quest the long way, you can investigate signs left by the courier starting in the passage that connects Shellwood’s lower chambers and follow the traces. They take you on a slightly less direct route, but you end up in the right place anyway.

Your reward for completing the wish is a new set of items available for purchase in Bellhart’s shop.
