If you’ve been looking to cut the cord and finally get rid of your outdated cable package, one of the best ways to get live TV online is through Sling. One of our favorite live streaming services, Sling is an easy and convenient way to get the channels you actually watch, without paying a premium for stuff you don’t need.
At a Glance: The Best Sling Deals
Sling has always been about value, compared to other live TV streaming services, but lately they’ve been crushing the competition with new budget-friendly deals and affordable options. Ahead, we’ve outlined some of the best Sling deals happening right now, including discounts and special Sling offerings like their Day Pass and Select package.
The Best Sling Deals Right Now
The best Sling deal right now is the Season Pass, which slashes the price of Sling’s base month-to-month plans when you prepay for five months upfront. You can prepay for five months of Sling Orange or Sling Blue at $199 (normally $230), or prepay for five months of the top-tier Orange + Blue package at $274 (normally $330). That means you can save up to $56 on your streaming bill over the next five months. This deal is great for sports (as the name suggests), when you know you’ll want to keep up over the next few months.

Another one of the best Sling “deals” right now is their new Select plan. This is technically just a package, but the value makes it worth considering if you’re on the hunt for a more affordable streaming setup.
The Select plan is $19.99 a month and gets you access to more than 10 of Sling’s popular channels. The Select package carries FOX News, FS1, FX, National Geographic, and NFL Network. In select markets, Select even includes the “Big Three” local channels (FOX, ABC, and NBC), although there’s a surcharge if you get these ($5 if two are available, $10 for all three). Overall, this plan offers some of, if not the most value of any cable streaming alternative.

Both plans include 27 shared channels, including TNT, TBS, CNN, A&E, Comedy Central, IFC, HGTV, and the Food Network.
Flexible Passes
Sling recently launched Flexible Passes, which get you access to Sling Orange for a day, a weekend, or a week at a discounted rate. The Day Pass costs $4.99, the Weekend Pass costs $9.99, and the Week Pass costs $14.99. These are great for individual events or tournaments.
Select

Some of the best add-ons include Sports Extra ($11 a month), which carries MLB Network, NHL Network, Tennis Channel, and conference-specific channels, and Entertainment Extra ($6/month), which carries CMT, MTV, and others. Other add-ons include Kids Extra ($6/month), News Extra ($6/month), and Lifestyle Extra ($6/month).
