Later, in 1840, Queen Victoria went a bit rogue, opting for a gold snake ring accented with a large emerald (her birthstone), rubies, and diamonds. Grace Kelly’s 10+ carat, emerald-cut, Cartier ring speaks for itself and Elizabeth Taylor’s engagement ring from Richard Burton goes down in history–a whopping 33.19 carat Asscher cut diamond.
