After Queen Latifah‘s Robyn McCall bid adieu to CBS‘ The Equalizer after five seasons, her on-screen relatives are following suit.

In social media posts made today, Lorraine Toussaint — who portrays Robyn’s Aunt Vi — and Laya DeLeon Hayes — who plays Robyn’s teen daughter Delilah — reflected fondly on their time with the crime drama.

“I am so grateful and moved that you loyal viewers who [sic] have so graciously welcomed us into your homes and your lives for 5 extraordinary seasons,” Toussaint wrote on Instagram alongside a behind-the-scenes video with Hayes and Latifah. “Thank you to an amazing crew and cast who have become family. I have loved playing Aunt Vi. Thank you @queenlatifah. The love is so real.”

Meanwhile, Hayes noted that she had come of age over the course of the show’s tenure, which began in 2021.

“thank you to each and every one of you who has watched and supported our show for the past 5 years,” she said alongside artful shots of the cast and crew. “@theequalizercbs this show came into my life right before the pandemic and was a dream come true. i am honored to have grown up on this show. playing delilah has been an absolute gift. i am forever changed and eternally grateful🌠 💐join us for one last equalizer sunday🫂🫂series finale tomorrow night. i love you all!!!!!!!!”

CBS announced it decided not to renew the Latifah-starring and executive produced series for a sixth installment. Produced by Universal Television, part of Universal Studio Group, there are no plans to shop around the project, with Season 5’s finale tomorrow serving as the show’s conclusion.

A reimagining of the classic 1980s series, The Equalizer follows an enigmatic woman with a mysterious background who uses her extensive skills as a former CIA operative to help those with nowhere else to turn.

Following the news, Latifah penned an impassioned tribute to the series: “Stepping into a kick-ass role like Robyn was everything I hoped it would be,” she wrote in part. “The Equalizer blew past every dream we had for it, and having the opportunity to do this for five seasons honestly feels surreal. Thank you to our amazing cast, crew, and producers and writers! And I can’t say enough about the FANS! Y’all have been so loyal, so loud, and so ride-or-die—and that’s exactly why we keep doing this. We can’t thank you enough. It means the world to us.”
