You can pile on all the wool and down in the world, but your hands are usually left to fend for themselves once temperatures really drop. Even the best winter gloves can only do so much—your fingers are almost always the first place you feel the cold. Not with rechargeable hand warmers, though.

The Ocoopa rechargeable hand warmers deliver up to eight hours of steady warmth, and once they run out, you simply plug them in and let them recharge. They’re Amazon’s No. 1 top-rated hand heaters and cost less than $30 and fit in your pocket, making them a clutch last-minute gift idea or stocking stuffer.

Just $28, the Ocoopa hand warmers have more than 7,000 five-star ratings and have been purchased almost 150,000 times in the past month alone. That’s about three times every minute, around the clock. While searching “hand warmers” on Amazon yields more than 10,000 results, these have apparently beat out every other option for their quality, size, battery life, and more.

Each warmer is less than an inch thick and weighs just over two ounces, so it’s small enough to shove into most jacket pockets or even mittens. They operate with one button, which controls three temperature settings. The lowest setting heats up to 108 degrees, the second setting to 117, and the highest to 126. “They heat up faster than my morning coffee,” one reviewer said. “Seriously—seconds!”

Other shoppers love them for their ability to keep hands toasty over long stretches of time. “I suffer from cold-weather injuries to my hands thanks to 23 years in the Army,” one reviewer said. “I live in the Midwest… today it [the weather] started out [at] 2 degrees [Fahrenheit]. I have two dogs that need to be walked every day. This product works so well I no longer worry about taking the dogs on longer walks.”

The hand warmers have been certified for safety and performance by many third-party testing agencies to ensure they work safely, including Underwriters Laboratories (UL) and the European Conformity (CE). If you’re worried they could burn, they contain temperature control chips that ensure they never get too hot to touch—though some reviewers say the highest setting gets hotter than HotHands, so you know their warmth is legitimate.

Since they’re so cozy, shoppers have worn them skiing, snowmobiling, ice skating, and to some of the coldest places on the planet, like Canada and Norway. One shopper wrote that she gifted them to her son, who lives in Ushuaia, Argentina, a port north of Antarctica. “He works outside hours and hours every day,” she wrote. “These last much of the day for him and are easy to charge with a simple USB-C cable.”

The warmers are magnetized and stick together for easy storage and come with a pouch and charging cable. You can get the plain black set that’s discounted to $28 now, or opt for a fun color like purple, orange, or floral. Hurry and order to add a pair of Ocoopas to your loved one’s stocking, or shop more rechargeable hand warmers at Amazon below.
