After what has been considered a pretty good patch, Path of Exile 2 is receiving a new update called “The Last of the Druids.” As the name implies, this new update is focused on the Druid, a new class being added to the game. Besides making their Druid quite unique, Grinding Gear Games is also making PoE2 a better game with performance improvements and more.
A new update marks the beginning of a fresh league in Path of Exile 2 and “The Last of the Druids” is no different. Seasonal content is coming, and it will require you to forge the best path to find the Queen of the Vaal. What time does the Path of Exile 2 ‘The Last of the Druids’ update release?
You can start playing Path of Exile 2‘s “The Last of the Druids” update on Friday, Dec. 12 at 2 p.m. EST, as announced by Grinding Gear Games during the most recent GGG Live. Depending on your time zone, you may get access to the update on Saturday, Dec. 13. Here’s a list with different time zones for you to check:
- 11 a.m. PST on Friday, Dec. 12 for the west coast of North America
- 2 p.m. EST on Friday, Dec. 12 for the east coast of North America
- 4 p.m. BRT on Friday, Dec. 12 for Brazil
- 7 p.m. GMT on Friday, Dec. 12 for the U.K.
- 8 p.m. CET on Friday, Dec. 12 for western Europe
- 4 a.m. JST on Saturday, Dec. 13 for Japan

What to expect from Path of Exile 2’s ‘The Last of the Druids’ update
It might surprise you, but the most important addition in “The Last of the Druids” update is actually a Druid! Grinding Gear Games is adding the Druid as a playable class in update 0.4, but it has a twist. Known for turning into animal forms — usually bears and wolves — the Druid in Path of Exile 2 can also turn into a dragon! They can use elemental magic too, but who cares? They turn into a dragon!
While the Druid is the centerpiece of this update, the other classes are still meant to be as strong as the shapeshifter. They are all receiving buffs and nerfs, and the skill tree is getting over 200 new nodes. Some strong builds may suffer because of these changes, but the new passive skills will definitely make room for unseen builds to emerge. And since the Druid’s ability to take on animals comes from the weapon type, the Animal Talismans, being introduced in patch 0.4, all other classes can benefit from it as well.
“The Last of the Druids” update will also bring the new league to the game, the “Face of the Vaal.” Because it is seasonal content, you can only enjoy it by starting a fresh character to play in the season servers. This time, the league will take you to the catacombs of the Vaal and, by using a system that allows you to create rooms, make a path that will take you to the Queen of Vaal, Atziri.
Along with “The Last of the Druids,” Path of Exile 2 is also receiving its second free weekend. Although the game is intended to be free-to-play when released, it’s still in early access and only those who purchased an early access key can play it. However, from Dec. 12-15, anyone can play the game for free without a key.
