The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP) has announced the return of its women’s Fortnite tournament, The Milk Cup.

As part of its 2025 expansion, the company also created The Milk Cup Academy, a training and mentorship programme for female Fortnite players.

The Milk Cup was first introduced in April last year to provide more women with the tools, resources and opportunities to thrive in esports. According to a press release, The Milk Cup was the first-ever tournament that over 60% of last year’s competitors took part in.

For its 2025 edition, the initiative is expanding with a $300,000 (~£232,200) prize pool compared to last year’s $250,000 (~£198,437). In addition, the competition will feature a Duos format based on community feedback.

The cup will be divided into three Series qualifier events in April, June and August, leading to the Finals later in the year. To increase visibility for women in esports, matches will be broadcast live on MilkPEP’s ‘Gonna Need Milk’ Twitch channel.

Registrations are now open via the dedicated website, and players of all skill levels are encouraged to sign up.

Like last year, The Milk Cup is brought together in collaboration with various supporters. The Milk Cup Co-founder and Fortnite streamer ‘ThePeachCobbler’ will return as a coach, while all-women production team RaidiantGG will once again be in charge of the event’s production. Moreover, Moonrock will provide programme advisors across partners and sponsorships.

    The Milk Cup Academy

Among the biggest changes ahead of The Milk Cup 2025 is the introduction of The Milk Cup Academy. The Fortnite programme will offer training and mentorship opportunities, including coaching from gaming professionals, competitive training and scrims and wellness and performance support.

Academy participants will also have access to exclusive prize opportunities throughout their training.

“The Milk Cup Academy is a game-changer,” commented ThePeachCobbler. “So many talented women just need the right guidance and opportunity. This program gives them both.”
